1. Design by Comittee: the DOMINIX - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
What's with all the Domi hate? I've always thought that the Domi was one of the better looking ships in the game. I really like the "space whale" look, it's huge and bulky but majestic at the same time. Well, to each his own. I guess the one g...

4. Ship crews... - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Ok, I understand that the background says that ships have crew. Fine. Lets also push the ethical issue aside, at least for now. What I really don't get is why a crew is even necessary. I can't think of a single function a crew member would be carr...

Originally by: Tarminic Ah, but since this feeling of self is derived entirely from physical processes in the brain, wouldn't creating an exact replica of the brain effectively duplicate your consciousness? Well, I imagine it would "du...

7. Ship crews... - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Honestly, I don't think that the method of "consciousness transfer" used in EVE would work. All you are really doing is creating an identical copy of yourself. There is no resaon to think that you would "wake up" in that copy after you die. Rather...

9. Ship crews... - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Wow, all that actually sounds really cool. Perhaps I jumped the gun a bit, this might actually make it more fun to role play in eve and help me emerse myself in the world. That said, I understand feeling like a god while you are linked with the...

10. Ship crews... - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
"The Hands of a Killer" was really cool, if incredibly disturbing. Hmmm, perhaps a good compromise on this would be to have crew size be inversely proportional to skill level. So, for example, a pilot with no ranks in mechanic would require the f...

Also, those crew requirements don't scale up in any sensible way. Battlecruisers are only slightly larger than cruisers (11mil kg for a vexor compared to 13mil for a brutix) but they require ten times as many people to work? Huh?

12. Ship crews... - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Well this thread just destroyed any possibility of me role playing in EVE. I always just assumed those were the crew required without a pod pilot... I agree with Nutbar. It isn't finding enough people that's the problem, it's that all pod-pilots...

1. Do you know what the In Game Browser (IGB) is? Yes I do 2. How often do you use the IGB? Not very often so far, maybe a few minutes every other time I log on. 3. When you do use the IGB, how long does it typically stay open? (If applica...
